Designed to Outlast
When we initially sat down to conceptualise the design of our bed frames, we went with a similar philosophy to how we always craft our products. We aim to make the products we craft today still good enough 10 years later.
To that end, we wanted the bed frame’s design to be timeless, so that someone looking at the same product 10 years from now will think to themselves, “Wow, this is great. I want this.”
Slim Headboards, More Room
Our rooms are getting smaller, many of us are familiar with having only a small walking space between the bed and the wall. Space is becoming a luxury in our homes. The length of the bed is the only variable we can work with, so we reduced it as much as we can, this frees up more useable space in your room. Total length of the bed is around ~196cm.
Easy Surface Care
Earlier, we mentioned that the bed frame is designed to outlast trends, it must also physically last. One aspect of this is the surface and upholstery. It should be durable and also easy to care for. Use a damp cloth to wipe down the bed frame from time to time, and that will take care of it nicely.
Fully Covered Mattress Base
A mattress performs best when it is supported evenly. Our fully covered base gives it a continuous surface to rest on, without the wider gaps found in many slatted bases. This may also help meet the foundation requirements stated in your mattress warranty. As requirements differ between brands, always check the terms provided by your mattress manufacturer.
Sized for Singapore Mattresses
Mattress dimensions differ across markets. Our bed frames are designed around Singapore mattresses measuring 191cm in length, creating a cleaner fit with less excess space around the frame. This keeps the bed neatly proportioned and makes better use of the room.
Room for Your Robot Vacuum
The space around or underneath a bed can be difficult to keep clean. Both frames include measured clearance along their lower edges with robot vacuums in mind, making routine cleaning easier without taking away from the proportions of each design.
Soft, Sculptural Curves
Bedrooms are often shaped by straight walls and angular furniture. The rounded profile of Velia Malmo softens the room and gives the frame a more relaxed presence. Its upholstered edges create an inviting look while keeping the overall silhouette clean.
More Storage Within Your Bedroom
Extra storage often requires more furniture and more floor space. Velia Malmo makes use of the space beneath your mattress, creating a generous concealed compartment for spare bedding, luggage and other items you want kept out of sight. Everything stays close at hand while the room remains uncluttered.
Soft Pull Handle
Opening your storage bed should feel comfortable every time. The soft pull handle provides a secure, comfortable grip, making it easier to begin lifting the mattress platform. Its low-profile form sits neatly against the upholstered frame when it is not in use.
Asterra Valen is a raised, non-storage frame finished in Oak or American Walnut veneer. Velia Malmo is fully upholstered and available with either a standard base or hydraulic storage.
Every frame is made to order. Velia Malmo takes approximately four weeks, while Asterra Valen takes approximately eight to ten weeks. Delivery and assembly are included.
A walk-up charge of $20 per floor applies where lift access is unavailable. If you require disposal of your existing bed frames there will be a disposal fee of $80.
Asterra Valen is designed for mattresses up to 30cm (12 inches) thick. Velia Malmo accommodates mattresses up to 35cm thick.
