The Amara Blanket is not for sale just yet. We'll be launching it on Kickstarter this August, with simultaneous availability in Singapore and the United States. A $1 deposit reserves your spot as a backer and locks in 30% off at launch, ahead of the general public.

The Amara is a  reversible summer quilt, engineered in Singapore. We built it for hot sleepers who still want something over them, and for the places a blanket actually ends up: the sofa, the spare bed, the back seat, a picnic.

It has two working sides. One is the cooling face, TENCEL™ from Lenzing AG blended with polyamide, the best heat conductor in our material set. It pulls warmth off your skin instead of holding it there. The other is French Linen blended with cotton, the most breathable face we make, to let that warmth go. We add the cotton because linen on its own is stiff, and a blanket should be soft from the first night.

Inside is a 100 GSM fill of TENCEL™ and ultra-fine down-alternative fibers, quilted into compartments so it stays even and does not clump. Lighter than our 200 GSM summer duvet, which still runs warm for the hottest sleepers. That is the gap the Amara fills.

We put TENCEL™ lyocell in the fill on purpose. On a surface, washed against the body over and over, lyocell fuzzes in time. That is the nature of the fiber, not a fault. Sealed inside the quilt it never rubs against skin, so you get its drape and moisture handling with none of the fuzz. Right fiber, right place.

It is built to last and to be repaired. Loops at the corners let it fit inside any Oak & Sand duvet cover, so when the fabric finally wears, you re-cover it instead of binning the whole thing.

Three colorways, matched as pairs:

  • Whitewood: white and beige
  • Isle of Stones: grey and navy
  • Palm Villa: beige and deep green

Made by crafters, not a retail label. Machine washable on its own, no cover needed.
