Each pillow is constructed in three carefully considered layers. Plush white duck down fills the upper and lower chambers, while a supportive core of selected duck feathers sits within the centre. The result is an exceptionally fluffy pillow that gently cradles the head while maintaining its shape throughout the night.

Meticulously Cleaned in Japan

The quality of a down pillow begins long before it is filled.

One of the reasons we chose to produce the Hikari Down™ Pillow in Japan is the exceptional care taken in cleaning and preparing the down and feathers. Through a meticulous washing and refinement process, impurities, dust and naturally occurring residues are thoroughly removed before the filling is used.

This attention to cleanliness allows the natural loft, breathability and softness of the down to perform as intended, creating a pillow that feels remarkably fresh, light and comfortable.

A Three-Layer Construction

The upper and lower chambers are generously filled with white duck down, allowing countless fine down clusters to hold air and create a soft, airy cushioning around the head.

At the centre, carefully selected duck feathers provide greater resilience and structure. Their naturally curved shape helps the pillow recover after compression, preventing the head from sinking too deeply while maintaining a comfortable level of support.

Together, the three layers create a considered balance between fluffy softness and gentle stability.

Naturally Fluffy & Breathable

Down works by capturing air between its fine clusters, giving the pillow its characteristic lightness and loft without relying on dense filling.

Designed to be cared for at home, the pillow can be aired and maintained regularly to help preserve the natural performance of its down and feather filling.

Routine maintenance helps restore loft, release accumulated moisture and keep the filling feeling fresh, allowing the pillow to remain comfortable for years to come.

Natural Unbleached Cotton Casing

The pillow is finished in an unbleached cotton fabric, chosen to retain more of the material's natural character rather than concealing it beneath bleaching or dyeing processes.

Small dark flecks from the cotton plant's stems or leaves may occasionally remain visible within the fabric. These are a natural characteristic of unbleached cotton and are completely harmless. With repeated washing, they will gradually become less noticeable.
