Oak & Sand engineers our own fabrics from the ground up. This rendition is the result of every lesson learned across 5 variants of TENCEL™ bedding, woven to our own specs. The result is a sheet that resists pilling and furring, holds its surface integrity wash after wash, and survives dryer use without breaking down. Most other TENCEL™ sheets in the world can't say this. But now, we can.
Crafters note: Not just in the lab, we tested the TENCEL™ fabric Lot 05 in our own homes, putting them through regular daily use and with harsher than regular washing methods for stress testing.

Singapore Sizing
These 100% TENCEL™ bedsheet sets are made for Singapore mattresses, which means they fit snugly and better than imported sheets. They feature a fluted all-perimeter band that encases the mattress so the sheets stay tight all night long.
Our fitted sheets are 191 cm in length (Singapore Standard Size) instead of 200 cm (International). Fitted sheets at 200 cm are made for international specifications and will appear oversized on Singapore and SEA mattresses.
Fits mattresses up to 45 cm (17.5 inches) thick.

In our own testing across seven years of TENCEL™ fabric development, our sheets feels cooler and more breathable than typical bamboo viscose, cotton sheets and other standard lyocells.
Unique to Oak & Sand' - Our TENCEL™ Lot 05 fabric doesn't fibrillate. The absence of the hairy surface (esp. after wash) allows the sheet to stay cool and smooth unlike it's counterparts
Lot 05 is Oak & Sand's 5th rendition of TENCEL™ fabric for bedding, refined over seven years. Unlike standard market Lyocell sheets, we engineer our own weave and yarn specification, add upgraded protected seams, and build in stronger resistance to pilling and fibrillation. It can even withstand the occasional tumble dryer which other variants can't.
Pilling and furring is not a property unique to TENCEL™ bedsheets. In fact, the TENCEL™ brand of fibers are the best regenerated cellulose fibers.
Piling and furring is prominent in many Lyocell / Rayon fabrics. It just so happens that TENCEL™ is one of the most popular producers of Lyocell.
So the phrase, TENCEL™ sheets pill and get fuzzy, is actually wrong. Lyocell and Rayons are more prone to fuzzing and pilling. It is the variant of the fiber, not the brand.

The fitted sheet fits mattresses up to 45cm (17.5 inches) deep. The all-around fluted elastic band encases the mattress, so the sheet stays tucked on thicker beds and over pillow toppers.
Yes. Our TENCEL is OEKO-TEX Standard 100 Class 1 certified, the strictest class, which is the standard used for baby and infant products. The duvet cover uses hidden zippers instead of buttons, so there are no loose parts or choking hazards.
For all other TENCEL™ or Lyocell sheets? No.
However, the Oak & Sand TENCEL™ Lot 05 is built to tolerate the dryer. We still recommend hanging to dry indoors to extend the life of any sheet, but unlike most other lyocell bedding, Lot 05 takes low-heat tumble drying without breaking down.
Skip bleach and fabric softener.
Machine wash cold or warm with similar colours, using a mild, neutral-pH detergent. No bleach, no fabric softener. Hang dry indoors when you can, or tumble dry on low. They resist wrinkles, so a light water spray and smoothing by hand usually replaces ironing. Iron on low only if needed.
